Play Stars

The first three years of your child’s life are crucial for their development, and play is an easy and fun way you can help your child learn and grow. Play Stars is a Queensland Government initiative providing every family, with a child under one, with a free 12-month family membership to Playgroup Queensland.

Playgroups provide a great opportunity for babies, young children and families or caregivers to get together and enjoy play activities, including singing, art and craft. Playgroups are usually held once a week in a community venue, such as a local school, hall or park.

Participating regularly in a playgroup can help children develop important social skills. It can also help you meet and connect with other parents and caregivers in your local community with whom you can share ideas and experiences.

What is Play Stars?
